The largest academic building at the Science and Technology Campus, Katherine G. Johnson Hall boasts a distinctive design of sparkling glass walls. The three-story, 100,000 square-foot building houses more than 1,200 academic stations in electronic classrooms, computer classrooms and labs, lecture halls, and science labs. Ample space also is available for faculty and staff offices, programming areas, and conference rooms.
The Virginia Serious Game Institute, located on the first floor of the building, offers game design research and development as well as incubator space and support for serious game start-ups.
Katherine G. Johnson Hall houses a myriad of programs and classes from several Schools and Colleges including: College of Education and Human Development, College of Humanities and Social Sciences, College of Science, College of Visual and Performing Arts, and Volgenau School of Engineering.
