Sgt. 1st Class Joshua Richter takes notes during one of his Enlisted to Medical Degree Preparatory Program classes at George Mason University in Manassas, Virginia. Run by the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, the program prepares enlisted service members for medical school with one year of undergraduate premed classes and one year of graduate-level science courses, as well as intensive MCAT preparation.
